Why does R20 charge for it's services?

Recovery 2.0 is a for-profit business because it is my belief that it will be most effective that way.

It is impossible to reach large numbers of people and provide them with good services without spending money to do so.

We could become a non-profit and try to raise enough money to do what we do. Then we could even try to raise more funds to make services available for free. I do not believe this would be the best way to help the most people.

Recovery 2.0 gives away a ton of educational content that it produces and makes available on social networks, to its newsletter subscribers and elsewhere on the web.

We also have low-cost items such as my book available for less than $15. We charge larger fees for programs such as online coaching and online conferences because they are costly, require teams to run them, and they deliver great value

I believe strongly in the value of what we are offering and I also believe that people are more likely to participate more fully in the programs we offer when they have contributed financially to them.

We have kept our services at affordable rates. Therapy is expensive. Inpatient Addiction treatment is ridiculously expensive. Continuing care is costly as well. Our most expensive offering, our 8-week coaching program for $997, is simply an amazing value and I am proud to offer it. We also provide scholarships wherever warranted.

In one respect Recovery 2.0 is no different than a doctor or hospital or treatment facility that charges for its services.

I have never had a person come through any program I've offered and say it was not worth the expenditure.

We are proud to be doing what we are doing. We will always continue to strive to make services more affordable and to reach even more people.

With love and gratitude,
Tommy
